Julio, novidades sobre o mapa que você está esperando

Ianboys

Massive progress on Burma today - fixed a major graphical bug through a new process, altered a texture, populated the towns, villages and landscape, placed a few names, flew a 1 hour low level recon in a Hurricane to check things out. It is really looking good now and due to the low object count (because of the mass of jungle) it runs so fast. It doesn't look great high up (which map does?) but I really like it low down, esp. with some clouds and good light.

So what still needs doing - some handmade areas (mostly steamer points on the Chindwin), many more place names (Dgen needs as many as possible).

Then I need to wait for the new edition of the map tools so I can place the pagodas made especially for this map. Oleg says his guys will work on that after the Pe-2 add-on. So the idea is to have everything ready for when that comes.

The map WILL NOT be in the add-on. It will be released for free.

All the maps from the loose EuroMapping teams will be in free patches.

We ESTIMATE that MedOnline and Burma will be finished (not published!) in March and Norway, Slovakia and another (as yet secret) map in the summer.

Further maps will come in payware add-ons bundled with new planes from Russian development teams. Kiev and Manchuria look likely candidates.

Nothing is definite till it's installed on your PC!

The Burma map has been finished some time ago and sent to Oleg, but his team are currently incorporating the Manchuria map (which looks grand, by the way).

Burma looks like being patch 407, but the good news is that the Ki-21 and Ki-27 will come in patch 406 so that's not only the bomber we need for Burma but also the early fighter for the Flying Tigers.

Work on Norway starts in earnest in 10 days when my wife gets back from holiday.

The 4.06 (Sturmoviks in Manchuria) will, probably, contain the following Japanese planes:

Flyable:
--------
Ki-27ko
Ki-27Otsu
Ki-43-II (early and late)
J2M5
N1K2-Ja

AI only:
--------
Ki-21-I
Ki-21-IIko
A5M4
B6N2

Note: this list is not official and may not reflect the real way of things.

All 3 ex-"Russian" add-ons will be available wordlwide, on the same basis as other major 1C "IL-2"-related products, such as PF, or AEP, for instance.

Each of the add-ons will be sold on separate CD.

Each subsequent add-on will be installable only over previous one. In other words, to be able to install "Manchuria" add-on, you will have to buy the "Peshka" add-on first. To install "46" add-on, you will have to buy "Peshka" and "Manchuria" add-ons first.

The Ki-15 and I-15bis models were never finished. The Ki-30 wasn't ever started.
