A lenda dos Zeros perdidos...

Post by 21_Sokol1 »

Esta com cara de estória de pescador:
This one hasn't hit the news yet.

Friend of mine does mine salvage in the Solomon islands and his firm was called in to clean up a disused mine near Gold Ridge in the Solomon islands so it could be re-opened.

One of the shafts they opened was a disused storage area for old mining equipment and when they pulled it out, they found some amazing stuff jammed up the back of the shaft which seems to date from the Japanese occupation in 1942. There were old documents, a limited amount of ammunition (no weapons) and two Japanese Zeros, partially dissembled but in what is apparently new condition.

He is busy right now trying to ensure his contract gives him the salvage rights to the Japanese materials in the shaft. His contract covers salvage rights to the mining equipment but there is some ambiguity around the Japanese materiel...

What condition are they in? I wouldn't fly in the f**kers. But there isn't any rust if that's what you mean and my ops manager reckons he could get one of the engines working if I gave him a half day. Like I said, we are working elevated and in a lateral shaft so damp not an issue.
