I did not buy CoD (no lançamento) mostly because of the horrible reviews and user comments, but picked up the DVD last week for $7.
I installed it not sure what to expect, installed the latest Beta patch and have been playing it pretty much in all my free time since then.
So far, it seems pretty good.
On my system ("normal" para os gringos), FPS are smooth at 1920x1200, 2xFSAA, medium- high settings and over 30 FPS even in large dogfights over downtown London.
The graphics even seem better than in RoF.
The cockpits are a work of art, full 6DOF and fully clickable.
Good plane selection, good Quick mission selection, full mission builder, Large map.
I dont see why it gets so many negative comments.
The most disappointing thing for me was since its release (CloD) was finding out what a absurdly horrible community il2 has, something I had not realised in my time with 1946...
